I've got to go there in the next couple of weeks, been to Gothenburg years ago which was really nice, a Swedish workmate from Gothenburg reckons Stockholm has been ruined by uncontrolled immigration leading to higher crime, surely not!

Saw Pearl Jam there with Defjam last summer, it was raining and grey. Didn't look a particularly picturesque city from the bits I saw, but then I did see sod all of it

By coincidence just booked to fly into Arlanda at the end of February for a long weekend. £77 return from Manchester with Norwegian airlines, and £115 a night at the Sheraton. Might be expensive when you get there but that's ridiculously cheap. Not been before and really looking forward to it.

We were collecting tickets in the Ireland team hotel "the Sheraton" and it was €12 a pint. A bloke who used to play for man united "bojan djordic" was collecting tickets off john o shea, and sheasy came over to us and bought us a round of drinks. He's a decent lad.

Yeah the level of English they speak is incredible. It's not even like perfect RP BBC English either, they actually say things like "gonna" and some even drop their H's and stuff too. Known a few scandos who I honestly though were English at first.

When I last went to Scandinavia I thought prices were similar to London in nearly every respect. If people want to get pissed, they just drink something other than 10 pints of cold lager.

Not been to Sweden but been to Finland and Norway.....liked them both. Met a great family from Denmark on holiday last year....lovely people. They, and their kids (eldest was 11!) spoke perfect English. National curriculum (or their equivalent) requirement....we just shout

Actually thought food and snacks etc. were pretty much the same as our prices.
The ONLY thing that was expensive was drinks in bars/pubs/clubs, but on average that was only like 50-70Krona for a pint which again works out as not that much more than what you'd pay in central London anyway.
Buying booze from supermarkets was actually cheaper, if anything. Although everything is capped at 3.5%.

And you can buy yoghurt in cartons like it's milk.
And get a can of lager in McDonalds.
And every supermarket seems to have a bookies attached.
